Women and Men Making a Difference – How you can help!

The Women and Gender Studies Program at CU-Boulder is transforming lives of a diverse student body by teaching and encouraging their exploration of the world, expanding their critical thinking skills, and focusing on three key areas:

  • Race/Ethnicity
  • Sexuality
  • Global studies

Our program fosters a sense of community by offering speakers, programs, mixers, and many ways to get involved on campus and in our community.

People like you have been the foundation for this program, providing support for scholarships and educational experiences in and outside of the classroom. We are grateful for the generous support we have received in the past. Our work continues, and so does the need for continued funding.

There are four ways you can help Women and Gender Studies students:

WGST Student Professional Development Fund is a unique funding program, designed to employ students as research assistants to faculty in a professional setting, to cover travel expenses of students attending conferences dealing with important women and gender studies issues, and to help students study abroad and more.

Women and Gender Studies Program Fund provides general funding for the Women and Gender Studies Program at the University of Colorado Boulder that may go toward guest speakers, student events, and more.

The Jean Dubofsky Scholarship in Women and Gender Studies awards scholarships to Women and Gender Studies majors at CU-Boulder who have demonstrated academic achievement and financial eligibility.

The Lucile Berkeley Buchanan Scholarship Endowment Fund is an endowment to provide an annual scholarship for a student majoring in women and gender studies at the University of Colorado Boulder, in honor of the first African-American woman to graduate from CU.

Forty Years of Making a Difference

WGST 30th Anniversary Party

Celebrate the demonstrated leadership of students in the study of gender, race, ethnicity, class, ability, sexuality, nationality and global context in higher education at CU.

As we are about to turn 40, we reflect on all of the accomplishments achieved through hard work, volunteer involvement, and ongoing support. With your help, we will make the coming years even more successful!
