In collaboration with Ally Week and with hopes to facilitate community building and allyship among CU workers and students, the Boulder County Labor Justice Committee is hosting a meeting with student activists and workers to brainstorm the need for a labor coalition at CU. If you would like to attend, please do so, and bring ideas/opinions! This is an open-ended meeting to throw ideas around and bring together diverse activist minds. An interpreter will be present.
Some things we’ll be discussing:
1. Is there a need to build community and allyship between CU workers and students?
2. What can we do to make that happen?
3. Some ideas: thank you cards, appreciation dinners, community game nights, bulletin boards…
4. How can we help CU become a leader in Labor Justice?
5. Next steps!
The meeting will be held on Friday, the 22nd at 2pm in UMC 425. Snacks and drinks will be provided! Contact firstname.lastname@example.org or 303-717-5074 with questions and concerns.
