WGST Department Recognition Ceremony - Spring 2024

Date: Thursday, May 9, 2024

Time: 12:30-1:30pm MDT, followed by a light reception

Reception: University Club Lawn (tent directly across Euclid Avenue from CASE)

The Department of Women and Gender Studies holds one commencement recognition ceremony each year in May, to honor our students graduating with majors, minors, and certificates, as well as to recognize those students earning scholarships and awards from WGST. Students graduating in the fall or summer semesters are welcome to participate in the spring ceremony either prior to or after their official semester of graduation.

Details: Spring 2024 Department Recognition Ceremony

  • The ceremony will begin at 12:30pm MDT, doors open for seating at 12:00pm.
  • Graduates, please arrive by 12:00pm to sign in.
  • Ceremony will run from 12:30pm-1:30pm, with a light reception to follow on the University Club lawn across the street.
  • No tickets required, no guest limit.
  • Graduates, please complete the RSVP form by clicking on the button at the top of this page.
  • Graduates are encouraged to wear cap and gown. Ordering instructions are included in the button at the top of this page.
  • It is very important that all graduates review the "Pre-Graduation Checklist" and apply for graduation.

The university commencement ceremony is the campuswide ceremony in which students from all colleges are invited to participate. The chancellor of the Boulder campus officially confers degrees upon graduating students at this ceremony. Department recognition ceremonies are celebrations of individual student achievement. Each ceremony is different in form and structure, please see the information listed above for details on WGST's ceremony.

No tickets are required for the ceremony. Early arrival guarantees the best seating.
